Therapy is your space - a place where you can unpack your thoughts without judgment, whether you're 7 or 70. Think of it as your personal sanctuary where everything from nagging anxiety to life's unexpected curveballs gets sorted out. Maybe you're wrestling with memories that won't let go, or grief that feels like a weight in your chest. Perhaps you're discovering your unique way of experiencing the world, or finding that getting out of bed feels like climbing Mount Everest some days. Even something as specific as the morning battle of getting to school - it all has a place here.
Here's the beautiful part: therapy meets you where you are. Literally. Want to sink into a cozy couch in a traditional office? Done. Prefer to connect from your living room in your favorite sweatpants? We've got that covered. Or maybe you're someone who thinks better on your feet - in which case, let's take this conversation to a path, where nature becomes part of your healing journey. Your path to understanding yourself should be as unique as you are.
At Goode Thoughts Therapy, we carefully curate our group therapy sessions to match the unique dynamics of our community. We consider multiple factors when forming groups: age ranges that allow for meaningful peer connections, specific therapeutic needs that bring people together, and personality compatibility to create a supportive environment where everyone feels understood.
Our therapeutic approach is grounded in proven, evidence-based methods. For our younger clients, sessions often incorporate structured activities, games, and guided discussions that help them develop essential social and emotional skills. Teen groups strike a balance between structure and open discussion, adapting to the energy and needs of participants.
Each group is intentionally kept small – usually 6 to 8 members – to ensure everyone has space to share and connect. Whether dealing with anxiety, grief, life transitions, or other challenges, we've designed our groups to provide both professional guidance and peer support in a way that feels natural and comfortable.
Navigating your child's educational support system shouldn't feel overwhelming. Our team of experienced therapists, all of which have school-based experience, can guide you every step of the way. We offer comprehensive school support services, including:
We can observe your child in their learning environment, participate in school meetings to share our insights, and recommend specific accommodations tailored to your child's needs. These accommodations can be incorporated into various support frameworks, such as IEPs, 504 plans, or behavioral management systems.
For school visits and observations, we bill at our standard therapy rate, prorated to include both on-site time and travel.
