FAQs
Welcome to all prospective, new, and existing clients.

We're an out-of-network provider, which means you'll pay for your session upfront and then get a monthly superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Don't let this scare you - many clients find their final cost is similar to a regular copay.
Here's the best part: being out-of-network means we get to focus on what you need, not what insurance companies demand. We can create a treatment plan that actually works for you, without arbitrary session limits or forced diagnoses.
Before Starting Therapy
It's smart to call your insurance company first. Ask them:
"Do you cover out-of-network behavioral health services?"
"What's my out-of-network deductible for behavioral health?"
"Once I hit my deductible, what percentage do you reimburse?"
"Is there a yearly session limit?"
"Can I get coverage for multiple sessions per week?"This quick phone call can save you headaches later and help you understand exactly what you'll pay.
-
Need to cancel? Just let us know at least 24 hours before your appointment. Cancellations with less notice will result in the full session charge.

Our rates vary by service and provider. We offer limited sliding scale options for qualifying clients. Contact us for a complimentary 15-minute consultation to discuss pricing and services.

Ever tried talking about your feelings while taking a stroll? That's what we call walk & talk therapy. Instead of sitting in a traditional office, you and your therapist hit the trails or sidewalks together, usually in nearby parks or quiet neighborhoods. We'll pick a meeting spot ahead of time, so no wandering around looking lost!
There's something about moving your feet that gets your thoughts flowing too. Research shows people often open up more when they're walking side by side rather than facing each other across a room. Plus, let's be honest - nature beats fluorescent lights any day.
For the little ones, we get creative. Sometimes it's spreading out a blanket under a shady tree for play therapy, or finding a quiet spot in the park to chat. There's just something magical about being outdoors - it has a way of making everything feel a bit lighter, a bit more manageable. Click here to learn more about walk-and-talk therapy in our blog!

We will start with a quick 15-minute chat to make sure we're the right fit. If we are, we'll move on to an intake session - this is where we learn more about you or your child and we start building our relationship.
Intake sessions usually take an hour. If we're working with a younger child, they might join us toward the end - it helps make the transition into therapy smoother. During this time, we'll also figure out a therapy schedule that works best for you.

Most clients start with weekly sessions. This gives you and your therapist about a month or two to get comfortable with each other and build trust. Once you start making good progress on your goals (something you, your family, and your therapist can decide together), you might switch to meeting every other week or once a month to stay on track.
